Poems

He Washed Me Clean and Called Me Redeemed!

The following is my testimony in poem form.  It was written years before any of it was completed so in that respect, it was very prophetic.  By prophetic, in the Christian sense, I mean that it was a prediction which made use of the power of foresight to issue spiritual instruction.  I can honestly say it has not been fulfilled until just recently.

Jesus, My Savior Divine!

I took the wrong course, found only remorse

I just had to confess, My life was a mess

And take to my side, A big loss of pride

My heart I submitted, My sins He remitted

It thrills me to pieces, to feel those releases!

He replaced my deception, With a life-long direction

He gave me the yearning, To continue my learning

As His will I assimilate, My mind He does stimulate

Now He can educate, Where I used to eradicate

Such knowledge is divine, So hard to confine!

He refines my attitudes, Refreshes my platitudes

Now my path He directs, As my life He erects

As long as I’m producing, What He finds conducing

I cannot despair, His treasures are rare

He took my resentment, And gave me contentment!

He gave me a calling, Said I was done falling

He took me to a mountain, His living fountain

Washed me clean, Called me redeemed

Taught me to walk, As His Spirit would talk

All things are revealed, Nothing left concealed!

I learned to respect, And eventually accept

That I was appointed, And divinely anointed

From the day I was born, He began to adorn

A life full of training, But all of it pertaining

To the plan he conceived, I just recently perceived!

If you don’t know Jesus but would like to, it’s very simple.  God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.

The Bible tells us that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.  It also says sin pays off with death, but that God’s gift is eternal life given to us by Jesus Christ our Lord.  God showed us how much he loved us by having Jesus Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.  Salvation is a free gift.

We are saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve.  This is God’s gift to us, and not anything we have done on our own.  Jesus Christ says, Listen! I am standing and knocking at the door.  If we hear his voice and open the door, he will come in and we will eat together.  When people accept him and put their faith in him, he gives us the right to be children of God.

If you have never done so, invite Jesus Christ to come in.  For if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.  All who call out to the Lord will be saved

If you have made this commitment today, tell someone.  Tell me, I would love to hear from you.

To help you in your new life in Christ, or to strengthen your current walk, or even if you don’t believe yet, I would invite you to try out Neil Vermillion’s Daily Prophetic Word.

He has very uplifting posts and I highly recommend them.
